Preparing students to become tomorrow’s leaders

In partnership with Hamilton County Schools’ Future Ready Institute, the EPB Institute of Technology & Networking was developed to provide mentoring and training assistance to students pursuing careers in computer coding and information technology. A special IT-based curriculum helps instill in students a strong understanding of computer technology and the programming needed to succeed in high-demand career opportunities.

Both at the Institute and onsite at EPB, students commit to a high school career of learning the mechanics of programming, assembling and troubleshooting advanced computer systems.

Practicing what we teach through working relationships

It’s always been part of EPB’s mission to include all segments of our community in the company’s procurement efforts. In fact, on average EPB spends nearly $10 million per year with participating minority, women-owned, and veteran-owned businesses. We also pursue the benefits of a diverse corporate culture. EPB is committed to employing a workforce that is reflective and inclusive of the diverse communities we serve.

Our mission to enhance quality of life for all we serve

As part of our mission to enhance quality of life for everyone in our community, EPB partners with more than 100 community-based organizations each year including schools located throughout our service area. Through these efforts, we aim to help the people we serve realize their full potential through broader access to education, economic opportunity, support for entrepreneurship, technology, healthcare and more.

EPB employees are at the forefront of these efforts as they volunteer with local non-profits, mentor at local schools, participate in fundraising 5Ks and walks and most especially through our annual employee giving campaign for those in need.
